soy turista

El turismo pulveriza récords con 24 millones de visitantes hasta junio. Catalunya se consolida como primer destino turístico tras crecer un 13,2% (la vanguardia)

if it would be the first time here, i wonder if i would have liked it. funny thing to say, but probably the answer would be sí.still i would wonder about some grouchy camareros, ridiculos prices, rednecks and flamingos. pero las cosas libres, son las cosas libres. i wouldn't know yet, que es no más que fachada y que es realidad. and i wouldn't know, that everything was half prize some years ago and that vecinos still have a good chance to pay this price or to get invited.

still those picknicks on the roof top will be for ever something special barcelonese (thanks tomasu) - as long, well as long they don't forbid this too. but than: new people will come along who don't know anything about how it was/has been/could be ...

... el mediterráneo contemplado desde Toulouse o el mediterráneo contemplado desde Tunez, ... mvm

who are you? a tourist. don't you think it would be nice to move to barcelona? i just moved out. oh.

gardens are closing now at 10 and 11pm. pakis who let you buy stuff until 2 o'clock in the morning some times are also closing. still, theaters open up one our late at 1.30 in the morning, letting the people stay in front of closed doors which leads to freaking out neighbours, who have to get up at 5 o'clock in the morning and don't get enough sleep anyhow in this ciudad turistica and with thermometers en la zona rojo. somehow they really don't care anymore about each other. los vecinos mios: some month ago they found a dead man at principal, lying there for three weeks. i still remember him.

first impression at arrival, walking down my old street: oh, how did i miss this piss smell.

things are getting out of balance. well, nothing new, but now los catalanes seem to be more conservative and duro. a lot of things have this feeling of heavyness o son cosas muy importantes.

and another nice human i name defaut. thanks for the connection.

in paris more security as i remember; well, national holiday and brasilian politicians in town. gilberto gil was playing at night. but everything calm. the metro was closed at the airport for a while, probably because of "unattended" luggage, they destroy presto these days. but this notion hasn't reached the restaurantes yet: they help you out by keeping an eye on your luggage for a walk. as bruce schneier used to say: this world wouldn't function just with security, but because most of the people don't mean any kind of harm.

the nicest fligth crew ever works for the catalan airline vueling.com. it was one of those commuter flights, it seemed. they - including the captain at the end - are joking most of the times and over the lines. where else do you get to read an airplane magazine that comes as a mixture of comic and bravo.
