hinsichtlich der Diskussionen um einen aktuellen Handlungsbedarf in Bezug auf die datenschutzrechtlichen Auswirkungen der RFID-Technologie hat die [dt] Bundesregierung in einem aktuellen Bericht empfohlen, derzeit auf eine gesetzliche Regelung zu verzichten und dem Markt zunächst die Chance zur Selbstregulierung zu lassen. Laut Einschätzung der Bundesregierung werde die RFID-basierte Verarbeitung personenbezogener Daten mittelfristig kaum über das hinausgehen, "was heute bereits über Kunden- und Kreditkarten, Barcode und Überwachungskameras möglich - und üblich - ist." Insofern bestehe kein aktueller Handlungsbedarf.
