during research on xml i was falling over brians quote again "xml is like diet cobol". it sounds good, but still wondering what it means and how i can use this next week at the conference. i mean i don´t know enough about cobol nor diets ...

in general i didn´t know that there are a lot of articles on different computer diets around, beside of programs for human who do that stuff. after a diet a computer gets dumb. punto (fat versus thin)

rick jelliffe vision is - as far as i got it - "vision of a plurality of schema languages, a schema language without any elements." he wrote schematon. another example of this vision is named examplotron from eric van der vlist. "The purpose of examplotron is to use instance documents as a lightweight schema language-- eventually adding the information needed to guide a validator in the sample documents."
