a report about the "user revolution"* as they see it, investors and "adstors".

the new advertising ecosystem and the rise of the internet as a mass medium | investment research

*"The analogy of a revolution is not fully representative of consumer trends, as a revolution generally suggests a sudden and violent change of regime and the current user trends are gradual and, happily, non-violent. However, we feel that the impact of the changes warrants the use of the word revolution."

quote from their content: the Internet is the leading medium at work and the second leading medium at home behind television. | emergence of communitainment: community, communication, and entertainment | a lot about fragmentation: usage of the web while watching tv | mobisodes?? | the golden search: Local search remains a looming opportunity; | video ads | lead generation | and so on and so forth ... let's see.

trend: to turn communication with others into a form of entertainment.

¿what was it before? oh my, must sound pretty medieval to some of them.

printed electronics

well, they say it's the next big thing. i saw yesterday some painted electronics, stretchable and washable. printed batteries, as i was told but have not seen yet with my own eyes, are in the lab for more than five years already | ie an israeli company, 2004. on the other side, electronic paper isn't that successful as expected, but printed and flexible rfid chips are out there and functioning. even with or without antenna and batteries. i guess in the future, if you talk about publishing, someone has to consider also electronics.
