In our innovation-driven society, we tend to compare technology almost exclusively by looking at features and performance. More pixels equals better camera (or so we think), more gigabytes of storage means a better music player, and the list goes on, and on. Of course, in emerging fields of technology, this functionality-centric approach is utterly natural. (Even "cut and paste" was a big deal a long time ago, yet you would hardly find feature it in a product description today.) ward cunningham doesn't like to write his talks down (i hope it will be audio-ized at wikisym), but at least he gives interviews from time to time. | plogan. I see mashups as raising the unanticipation bar one notch higher. How can I design my thing, and you design your thing, such that they might work together even though that working was never part of the plan ... dirk has done some questioning, too. not ward yet though ... i would ask ward to write a new verse for the WikiPrayer -- even when i was there last time i remember there was no flesh but "god" ;) ...
