old patents dealing with presentation

there are a lot more in the us patent database, but the following are quoting influence of pretty old technics. this gubelmann, filed 1975 "text reproducing apparatus" was brought to you by realty & industrial corporation. - haven't possible guessed that people still apply for patents for typewriters. especially didn't expect to see hewlett-packard in that list. they didn't get any patent on typewriters since 1969, but 33 in 2003 and 35 2004? (hp and compaq merge 2002. ¿panic in the labs?).

gubelmann's justifying text writing reproducing machine, 1975 holds a reference to 1909.

method and means for information presentation, 1974, gives credit to a patent accepted 1922.

This was one of many reforms desired by the high-tech industry, which wants to deter "patent trolls" who generate profits without producing anything by acquiring patents and then suing others for infringement. (ap)

however, biotech companies and pharmaceutical ones are against it. 'drug industry's ability to innovate', would be at danger ...

uk patent office asked for definition

too ambiguous and too restrictive are the terms "controllable forces of nature" and the term "technical contribution". (po uk)

hypothetical inventions to judge: optimise the flow of traffic, hazard warning device that has a sensor that "sniffs" the air around it and extracts a chemical signature in a binary form, "discombobulation" (äh, does this really mean: be confusing or perplexing to??) chip for a mobile device, digitally filtering of photographs to adjust for the low light conditions and make them more readable ...
in june/july?? another voting is coming up in the eu parlament.
