acm has a new publication: queue, created by computing professionals for computing professionals.no journalism involved. there is no need for this crowd anyhow. even if they would just write down their acm members conversation, they can deliver far more interesting content. the same would be true for ifac, another long in the field traditional club. and they are doing it: editorial board member and acm award winner jim gray had a conversation with the acm member david patterson on storage systems and more.
