sound of networking and/or computing

the history of the ibm band and their songbooks is well known. yet, i didn't know that an openbds or fujitsu song existed, too. (even the links are all dead by now.)

another, more recent corporate athem.

while asking around usual suspects, louis pouzin just replied: no song was sung for cyclades.

"... it never crossed our discussions."

even andreu vea's chronicles tell the line that the french networking group got inspired by the sound of a cigale ...

and louis adds:

"It was the song of a loudspeaker hooked to a transmission circuit."

peter glaser has found another twist to the story: the drummer carrier of a former punchcard operator.
