hah

it works. it took 18hours and brought a lot of materials and thoughts. also there is the pilot strike ongoing, my last one flew out of town. every delay was not worthwhile to be mentioned, as winds, busdrivers, taxi and even a train conductor made all necessary arrangments to be connected just on time. i have no idea where i left my me, though. but keeping on running helps to stay awake. yet somehow i was and feel lucky. a good day, a glas of wine, and a day off tomorrow ...

on the way: like the airport in zürich. bright and open, kitch in the skytrain and good navigation and personal assistance if you need it. smoking areas are designed as relaxation rooms and not like cages in the zoo. hard to find these days.
konstanz wasn't bombed during wwII, the taxidriver told. their tactic was: lights on instead of lights off so that pilots thought they are flying over 'switz' territory ... düsseldorf: it seems the city follows the slogan: nobody cares. if you really feel like to void a ticket, you need to search real hard to find the right machine, as they did their best to hide it. and if you really have the feeling you want to buy a ticket, don't expect that you can pay with any sort of cash, nor do expect to find an open counter; intead expect a sign that says: closed until 5pm. poor guy in the booth next to it. he already looks grey. the city was nice though, not that clean as one would expect in the west and lively streets - at least in the center. then finally a fight between my taxidriver and his colleague: i saw the cab in front moving, thought he leaves and jumped into the next one. as soon as i was in the car it turned out the other one was just moving to park. and how he did park in that tiny street. too less to move out for us, but still offering a chance: try it, it may work, try. if you want to be friendly you can call what started next a vivid discussion, yet there was more of a fight in the air. just on schedule to get my last flight i didn't have the nerve for that anymore but also not to energy to jump out and to search for an alternative. listened and watched; - airport. it needed several guys to calm down the situation and finally he let us go ... on the way i listened to an austrian-hungarian-croatian family story, semmering eisenbahn included and the question: have you heard about the strike? ... jaja.
