2020 again. kurzweil was there already. now his name is vernor vinge, talking about 2020 and presenting a solution for ai's problems: make it invisible and state: it's working, it's there, you just have to see it. When intelligent machining finally arrives, it will be far less visible than technology today, as most of the machining will operate within the network and in processors built into the ordinary machines of our everyday life. |itworld i recall some note i have read somewhere, about the 1960s, where some human said: if robots can produce themselves, they have to be accepted as their own species. edit: another 15 years and robots will think like human. well kind of scarry thought. wondering why that stuff gets repeated over and over; and who told them that those machines have to look like and should act like beings? ... ...
