i am looking forward to hold the tascam hd p2 in my hand. somehow like it more than marantz 671 | €1097,- [tried 660 and it didn't convince me, soundwise; even some say, the new one's are better; besides of it i would have to send it in for software updates ...] reading about fostex i didn't like their power problem fostex fr2 | €1099,-;

i wanna have xlr-plugs, the rest is out of my interest. but i guess in general it's interesting to compare cable, power supply [batteries, if you want inside chargeable, adapter, how long can you work, ...], intuitive interface, memory and i guess support as easy updates [speaks for tascam, don't know about kork or roland yet]
