war and simulation

who made israel's computer models for the 1967 war?

This dramatic victory was, in part, a triumph of computer simulation. We know this because of a report filed that same month by E .A . Bayne of the American Universities Field Staff: "At least four of the most advanced computer models available (including one wholly developed at the Weizmann Institute in Israel) worked full-time on military problems before, during, and after the hostilities" [Bayne, p.1] . Bayne, E .A . "Economics of a Victor: Comments on the Impact of War on Israel's Economy ." Southwest Asia Series 16, no . 2 . New York: American Universities Field Staff, 1967.

a little bit of this - as i am on their site already - , a little bit of that ... yet, i think history/historic ideas will do: think in parallel, navigate blindly. i don't know!
