i tend to give them a hard time for letting their telecom get away with a lot of stupid things, but maybe it's worthwhile to find out about their early dreams of " electronic data switching system for data communication". i've never heard befor of the so called eds-network, 1969. siemens patent, teletex transmitting/receiving device. what's the difference to imp?
