nowadays have a odd way to deal with interview situations: they are worried about answers that are longer than 30 seconds:

'oh, that answer was too long'

it was -más o menos - 45" hm, it was longer but anyhow, if you say no problem, it was a good answer, they reply: i should have asked you before. ex-journalists actually do this:

'how do you want me to speak: short answers?' oh, you like a talk. so, you also will say something? i can deal with that.

if they don't get confronted with a direct, 100% identifiable question, they don't say: well, i don't understand what you are saying but are worried to be misused:

'i don't know what you want me to say'
