instead of writing about a CiOntrol freak cisco guy, who things nobody who doesnt´look bored, has grey hair, a picha, a business card or a bodyguard is trustworthy, i think this map about a wireless connecting point in the states is much more interesting. maps about "infrastructure and coverage of wireless data networks and more ... ... nice to watch the flow of information or crap or how you want to name it. maybe i am sick from listening the whole day to marketing people. however, right now i am enjoying to compare the quantity of packet loss from south america with us and europe ... and why have there been - globaly - more packets gone lost on thursday the 5th of may? that´s what i would name real material for conspiracies. ... to esther dyson again. solid advices for the audience: don´t belong to venture capital - well there isn´t a lot around lately anyhow. (¿a myth?) future markets: wireless - "don´t have to tell european about it" (applications, wlan). identity management (questions to ask: control, regulations, transparency) and security (sept.11). icann will have a congress hearing in june, she said, and again there is time for action, so that government doesn´t take it back. i guess she is really enjoying to be on the other side. but the most interesting stuff, was propably presenting the idea, that private people should start to ask for money, when they are receiving e-mails from people who are not in their adresse book: way to avoid spam-mail and more: just turn the game around: if someone thinks, someone should spend time to read his e-mail, he should be willing to pay for the time, say 10€. ex-boyfriends pay at least 100€ - one of that easy going jokes for the audience, but vale.
